Let's go to the small and relaxed fishing village Kartong, located in south-west Gambia, about 1 hour drive from Senegambia. Kartong marina offers fresh seafood at it's restaurant, choose between lobster or fish (or a mix of both!) with a cold drink for a reasonable price. From the marina we take a boat trip, on Kartong's calm saltwater river, where, you'll get to see Pelican birds and tons of small or large oysters on the river banks depending on the season!
Tanji fishing village and market, about 25 minutes drive from Senegambia, is a bustling and vibrant gathering place, where commerce, tradition and community come together. See the whole process - from the fishing boats arriving with the day's catch at the shores to the fish being scaled by hand, and even cured on fire inside a traditional smokehouse! Whether you spend an hour or an entire morning soaking up the atmosphere, the experience offers an unforgettable glimpse into the daily rhythms of coastal life. Â
Located in historic Bakau, about a 20 minute drive from Senegambia, is Kachikally Sacred Pool and Museum, one of The Gambia's most fascinating attractions. My name is Edrisa but you can call me "Edi". I'm a Gambian, born to Gambian parents and I was raised here. I'm also married. I love meeting new people, from all over the world. I speak English, Mandinka and Wolof  and I like to learn new words and phrases in whichever language you speak!

I have been working in Gambia's tourism for nearly 15 years as both a juice presser, tour guide and taxi driver. I love showing people around our beautiful Gambia, introducing them to our nature, experiences, people, food and music.Â

No matter what time your flight lands, morning, day or night, I'm able to pick you up. After picking you up I will take you to your hotel/lodge.

Like many people traveling, when you land, you may not have international calling service: don't worry, I will be there at our agreed time, waiting for you at the airport arrivals!
Vehicle/Vehicles
I drive an old school Mercedes-Benz C220 and it can carry 1-4 passengers plus myself the driver. For larger parties larger vehicles will be arranged.Â

I have all the necessary permits and licenses to drive and work in the Gambian Tourism Sector.Â
Payment Methods
All payments must be made using Cash or the Sendwave/Wave App. Accepted currencies are Gambian Dalasi, American Dollars, British Pounds and Euro.
